GOD’S WORD

RITO RA XIKWEMBU

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

Buku leyi ya Nawu u nga tshuki u hambana na yona, u fanele ku yi anakanya vusiku ni nhlekanhi leswaku u ta ka u nga tluli ni xin’we xa leswi tsariweke eka yona; kutani u ta humelela, ni swilo swa wena swi ta ku fambela kahle. (Yoxuwa1:8,TSO89

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Ps. 1:1-2)

Ku katekile munhu loyi a nga amukeriki makungu ya lavo homboloka, loyi a nga landziki mikhuva ya vadyohi, loyi a nga dzumbiki ni lava sandzaka Xikwembu, kambe a tsakela nawu wa HOSI, a wu anakanya vusiku ni nhlekanhi. (Pisalema 1:1-2)

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. (Ps. 19:7-9)

Nawu wa HOSI wu hetisekile, wu hanyisa moya; switsundzuxo swa yona swi tiyile, swi tlharihisa vo kala mano. Swiletelo swa HOSI swi lulamile, swi tsakisa mbilu; swileriso swa yona swi tengile, swi hanyanyisa mahlo; ku chava HOSI i mhaka leyinene, leyi nga ta ka yi nga heli; leswi HOSI yi swi bohaka i ntiyiso, swi lulamile hinkwaswo ka swona; (Pisalema19:7-9)

So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. (1 Peter 2:1-2)

Hikokwalaho, tshikani lunya hinkwaro, ni vuxisi hinkwabyo, ni vukanganyisi, ni mavondzo, ni ku lumbeta hinkwako. Tanihi swihlangi leswa ha ku velekiwaka, mi fanele ku navela ntswamba lowu tengeke wa moya, leswaku ha wona mi ta kota ku kula mi ya eku ponisiweni. (I Petro2:1-2)

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work (2Tm. 3:16-17)

Matsalwa lawa hinkwawo ma huhutiwile hi Xikwembu, ma pfuna ku dyondzisa, ni ku laya, ni ku ololoxa, ni ku tolovetisa leswo lulama, leswaku mutirheli wa Xikwembu a va la hetisekeke, a tilulamisela ku endla ntirho wun’wana ni wun’wana lowunene. (II Timotiya3:16-17)

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Heb. 4:12)

(Vaheveru4:12)

KNOWING GOD

KU TIVA XIKWEMBU

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. (Psalm 63:1-3)

We Xikwembu, u Xikwembu xa mina, ndza ku lava, ndzi ni torha ra wena. Hikokwalaho ndzi ta ku dzunisa hi nomo wa mina: Rirhandzu ra wena ri tsakisa ku tlula vutomi! (Pis 63:1-3)

Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

HOSI Xikwembu xi vula sweswo xi ri: “Ntlhari yi nga tikurisi hi vutlhari bya yona, ni nhenha hi vunhenha bya yona, na yena la fumeke a nga tidzunisi hi rifuwo ra yena. Loyi a lavaka ku tidzunisa, a a tidzunise hileswi a ndzi tivaka ni ku ndzi twisisa, hikuva laha misaveni mina HOSI ndzi tirha hi rirhandzu, ni ku lulama, ni ku tshembeka; mina HOSI ndzi ri, swilo leswi hi swona ndzi swi tsakelaka!” (Yeremiya9:23-24)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Pr. 3:5-6)

Tshemba HOSI Xikwembu hi mbilu ya wena hinkwayo, u nga tshembi ntsena vutlhari bya wena. Eka hinkwaswo leswi u swi endlaka, tsundzuka HOSI Xikwembu, xi ta ku basisela tindlela. (Swivuriso 3:5-6)

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)

Amen. (Yuda 1:24-25)

GOD’S REIGN

KU FUMA KA XIKWEMBU

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Kambe hi tiva leswaku, etimhakeni hinkwato, Xikwembu xi le ntirhweni wa ku tisa leswinene eka lava va xi rhandzaka, va nga lava xi va vitaneke, hi ku ya hi makungu ya xona. (Varhoma 8:28)

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Cor. 10:13)

(I Vakorinto10:13)

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James. 1:2-4)

Yi tekeni yi ri mhaka ya ku tsakisa swinene, vamakwerhu, loko mi hlangana ni miringo ya tinxaka-xaka, hikuva ma swi tiva leswaku loko ku pfumela ka n’wina ku tiya eku ringiweni, swi humesa ku tiyisela. Kambe ku tiyisela ka n’wina ku fanele ku tirha ntirho lowu hetisekeke, leswaku mi va lavo hetiseka ni ku lulama hi matlhelo hinkwawo, mi nga pfumali nchumu. (Yakobo1:2-4)

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal. 2:20)

Sweswi, loko ndzi hanya emirini, ndzi hanya hi ku pfumela, ku nga ku pfumela eka N’wana wa Xikwembu loyi a ndzi rhandzeke, a va a tinyiketa hikwalaho ka mina. (Vagalatiya2:20)

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. (John. 16:33)

(Yohane16:33)

THE CROSS

XIHAMBANO

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:4-6)

Hambileswi a a rhwele maxangu ya hina, ni ku titekela mahlomulo ya hina, hina a hi ku, Xikwembu xa n’wi ba, xi n’wi twisa ku vava, xa n’wi khawurisa. Kasi a a boxiwa timbanga hikwalaho ka milandzu ya hina, a xanisiwa hikwalaho ka swidyoho swa hina. Ku biwa ka yena ku hi tisele ku rhula, hi hanyisiwile hi mafelangati ya yena. Hinkwerhu a hi fana ni tinyimpfu leti lahlekeke, un’wana ni un’wana a a tifambela hi ndlela ya yena; hambiswiritano, HOSI Xikwembu xi tekile swidyoho swa hina hinkwerhu, xi swi rhwexa munhu loyi. (Esay 53:4-6)

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

Loko ha ha tsanile, Kriste ú fele lavo homboloka, hi nkarhi lowu vekiweke hi Xikwembu. Swi nga nonon’hwa eka munhu ku fela munhu un’wana la lulameke; kumbexana un’wana a a ta kanya mbilu a fela munhu lonene. Kambe Xikwembu xi kombisa erivaleni rirhandzu ra xona eka hina, hileswi Kriste a nga hi fela loko ha ha ri vadyohi. (Varhoma 5:6-8)

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Vuyelelanani na Xikwembu!” Kriste a a nga ri na xidyoho; hambiswiritano, Xikwembu xi n’wi endlile leswaku a va xo xidyoho hikwalaho ka hina, leswaku hikwalaho ka yena, hi endliwa lava lulameke emahlweni ka Xikwembu. (2 Vako. 5:21)

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:13-14)

Khale, a mi ri lava feke hikwalaho ka milandzu ya n’wina, hileswi a mi ri vamatiko lava nga yimbangiki, kutani Xikwembu xi mi hanyisile swin’we na Kriste. Xi hi rivalerile milandzu ya hina hinkwayo, xi herisa tsalwa leri khale a ri hi veka nandzu, ri hi mangalela hi milawu ya rona, kutani xi ri susele etlhelo, xi ri belela exihambanweni. (Vakolosa 2:13-14

Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Ma swi tiva leswaku mi kutsuriwile eka tindlela leti nga pfuniki nchumu, leti mi ti kumeke eka vatata wa n’wina; mi kutsuriwile ku nga ri hi swilo leswi onhakaka ku fana ni silivhere kumbe nsuku, kambe hi ngati ya nkoka ya Kriste, leyi fanaka ni ya xinyimpfana lexi nga riki na vulema kumbe xivati. (I Petro1:18-19)

SALVATION

KU PONISIWA

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (John 3:16-17)

Xikwembu a xi rhumanga N’wana wa xona emisaveni ku ta avanyisa misava, kambe a ku ri ku endlela leswaku misava yi ta ponisiwa ha yena. (Yoh. 3:16-17)

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

Loko u vula hi nomo wa wena leswaku Yesu i Hosi, ni loko u pfumela embilwini ya wena leswaku Xikwembu xi n’wi pfuxile exikarhi ka vafi, u ta ponisiwa. Hikuva munhu ú pfumela hi mbilu, kutani sweswo swi n’wi endla a va la lulameke; ú vula hi nomo, kutani sweswo swi n’wi endla a va la ponisiwaka. (Varhoma 10:9-10)

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Hikuva hi tona tintswalo ta Xikwembu leti ti mi poniseke, hikwalaho ka ku pfumela; kutani leswi, a swi humi eka n’wina, kambe i nyiko ya Xikwembu. Ku hava xo tikurisa ha xona emhakeni leyi, hikuva a swi humi eku tikarhateni ka n’wina. (Vaefesa2:8-9)

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

(Mt. 11:28-30)

Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. (1 Timothy 3:16)

Hakunene, hi nga tiyisa leswaku xihundla xa vukhongeri bya hina i xikulu: “Ú vonakisiwile a ri munhu, ú vuriwile la lulameke emoyeni, ú voniwile hi tintsumi; ú twarisiwile ematikweni, ú pfumeriwile emisaveni, a tekeriwa henhla eku kwetsimeni.” (I Timotiya 3:16)

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Phil. 1:6)

Ndzi ni ku tshemba swinene leswaku Xikwembu lexi sunguleke ntirho lowo saseka lowu exikarhi ka n’wina, xi ta wu yisa emahlweni ku fikela makumu ka wona, hi siku ra Kriste Yesu. (Vafilipiya1:6)

BLESSINGS

MINKATEKO

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Rirhandzu ra HOSI Xikwembu a ri heli, tintswalo ta xona a ti na makumu; ti vonaka ti ri tintshwa siku rin’wana ni rin’wana. Ku tshembeka ka wena HOSI, i kukulu! (Swirilo 3:22-23)

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. (Psalm 103:1-4)

Ndzi lava ku nkhensa HOSI Xikwembu ndzi vuyelela, ndzi tlangela vito ra xona lero hlawuleka hi mbilu ya mina hinkwayo. Ina, ndzi lava ku nkhensa HOSI Xikwembu, mintirho ya xona leyinene ndza yi tsundzuka hinkwayo.Hi xona xi ndzi rivalelaka swidyoho hinkwaswo, xi horisaka mavabyi ya mina hinkwawo. Hi xona xi kutsulaka vutomi bya mina esirheni, xi ndzi rhendzela hi rirhandzu ni tintswalo. (Pisalema 103:1-4)

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23)

U ndzi fikisa emadyelweni ya rihlaza, u ndzi yisa ematini layo tenga. U hlayisa moya wa mina, u ndzi fambisa etindleleni leto lulama hikwalaho ka vito ra wena. Ni loko ndzi nga famba enkoveni wa xinyami xo chavisa, a ndzi chavi nchumu xo biha, hikuva u na mina: Wa ndzi lwela ni ku ndzi hlayisa. U ndzi endlela nkhuvo valala va mina va langutile; u ndzi chela mafurha yo nun’hwela enhlokweni, ni ndzheko wa mina wa khapa. Ina, vunene ni rirhandzu ra wena swi ta ndzi sirhelela masiku hinkwawo ya ku hanya ka mina, kutani ndzi ta tshama endlwini ya wena vutomi bya mina hinkwabyo. (Pisalema 23:1-6)

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Hikuva ndzi kholwa swinene ngopfu leswaku, hambi ri nga va rifu kumbe vutomi, hambi ti nga va tintsumi kumbe matimba ya mademona, hambi swi nga va leswi nga kona sweswi kumbe leswi nga ta ta, hambi yi nga va mimoya ya matimba leyi nge henhla mpfhukeni kumbe leyi nge hansi ka misava, hambi xi nga va xivumbiwa xihi na xihi, ndzi ri: Ku hava lexi nga ta kota ku hi hambanisa ni rirhandzu ra Xikwembu leri nga kombisiwa ha Kriste Yesu, Hosi ya hina. (Varhoma 8:38-39)

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

(2 Vak 12:9-10)

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:9-10)

Rirhandzu ra Xikwembu ri tikombile eka hina hi ndlela leyi: Hileswaku Xikwembu xi rhumile N’wana la nga un’we wa xona ku ta laha misaveni, leswaku hi ta kota ku hanya hikwalaho ka yena. Rirhandzu ra kona i rikulu, hikuva a hi hina hi rhandzeke Xikwembu, kambe hi xona xi hi rhandzeke, kutani xi rhumele N’wana wa xona ku va mhamba ya swidyoho swa hina. (I Yohane 4:9-10)

LIVING FOR CHRIST

KU HANYELA KRISTE

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him. (Psalm 24:3-5)

Xana i vamani lava nga ta tlhandlukela entshaveni ya HOSI Xikwembu xana? Lava nga ta yima endhawini ya xona leyo hlawuleka i vamani xana? Hi lava nga ni timbilu to basa ni mavoko lama tengeke, lava nga naveliki swilo swa hava, lava nga hlambanyiki hi ku xisa. Vanhu vo tano, HOSI Xikwembu xi ta va katekisa, xi ta va lwela, xona xi nga muponisi wa vona. (Pisal 24:3-5)

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. (Romans 6:12-13)

Loko swi ri tano, ku dyoha ku nga ha tshuki ku fuma emirini wa n’wina lowu faka, leswaku mi nga ha yi hi ku navela ka wona; mi nga ha nyiketi swirho swa n’wina eku dyoheni, mi nga ha swi tirhisi ku endla leswo homboloka; kambe tinyiketeni eka Xikwembu tanihi vanhu lava hanyaka, lava humeke exikarhi ka vafi.Kutani mi nyiketa swirho swa n’wina eka Xikwembu, mi swi tirhisa ku endla leswo lulama. (Varhoma 6:12-13)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

(Vagalatiya 5:22-23)

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8)

Eku heteleleni vamakwerhu, hinkwaswo leswi nga ntiyiso, hinkwaswo leswi chavisekaka, hinkwaswo leswi lulameke, hinkwaswo leswi tengeke, hinkwaswo leswi tsakisaka, hinkwaswo leswi nkhensekaka, ni loko ku ri ni swin’wana leswi nga ni vunene kumbe ku dzuneka, swilo leswi hinkwaswo, tshamani mi ri karhi mi swi anakanya. (Vafilipiya 4:8)

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Xana a mi swi tivi leswaku miri wa n’wina i tempele ya Moya lowo Kwetsima lowu mi nga na wona, lowu Xikwembu xi mi nyikeke wona, ni leswaku a mi tifumi, xana? Mi xaviwile hi nxavo lowukulu; hikokwalaho, dzunisani Xikwembu hi miri wa n’wina. (I Vakor 6:19-20)

That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. (Philippians 2:15-16)

Leswaku mi ta pfumala nandzu, mi va lava tengeke, mi va vana va Xikwembu lava nga riki na xisandzu exikarhi ka rixaka lero homboloka, leri tiarisaka; mi fanele ku vangama exikarhi ka rona kukota timboni, laha misaveni, mi ri karhi mi namarhela Rito ra vutomi, kutani esikwini ra Kriste, ndzi ta kota ku tidzunisa loko ndzi kuma leswaku ku tikarhata ka mina entirhweni wa mina a ku vanga ka mahala. (Vafil. 2:15-16)

Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:12-13)

Ti hi dyondzisa ku tshika ku hanya ehandle ka Xikwembu ni ku navela swa misava, kutani hi hanya emisaveni leyi hi ku tikhoma, ni ku lulama, ni vukhongeri, hi ri karhi hi langutela minkateko leyi hi tshembisiweke yona, siku ku nga ta humelela ku kwetsima ka Xikwembu Nkulukumba, ni Muponisi wa hina Yesu Kriste. (Tito 2:12-13)

FOLLOWING JESUS

KU LANDZA YESU

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” (Luke 9:23-24)

Kutani a byela vanhu hinkwavo a ku: “Loko munhu a lava ku ndzi landza, a a titshike, a tirhwexa xihambano xa yena siku rin’wana ni rin’wana, kutani a ndzi landza. Hikuva la rhandzaka ku tihlayisela vutomi bya yena, ú ta lahlekeriwa hi byona, kambe la lahlekeriwaka hi vutomi bya yena hikwalaho ka mina, ú ta byi ponisa. (Luka 9:23-24)

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2)

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:1-3)
